Hope Johnson

Hope Johnson is a San Francisco-based ceramics designer.

After making ceramics for more than a decade Hope launched her business in 2009 to spread her affinity for simple forms with everyday functionality. Her collection of ceramic plates and dishes are handmade, drawing inspiration from plant forms and organic shapes. The vibrant colors and retro-inspired graphics nod to her love of mid-century design.

With a bachelor of design in architecture Hope marries a traditional respect for the intersection of form and function with a vitality of color and organic shape. In the same way that man made structures enhance the natural beauty of her San Francisco home, Hope's ceramics bring the cheerfulness of nature to tabletop pieces and pendants.
